RS Series Worm Gearboxes

The RS Series offers nine frame sizes, from 28 to 150, with standard reduction ratios up to 100 : 1. It supports output torques up to 1,680 Nm and input powers to 24.9 kW. Housings and covers are pressure die cast aluminium on sizes up to 85 and rugged cast iron from size 110 onward, balancing light weight with mechanical strength. Worm shafts are made from cemented, hardened alloy steel and ground to profile, meshing with bronze alloy worm wheels for low backlash, quiet operation, and long service life. High quality ball or roller bearings and NBR oil seals with anti dust lips protect internal components, while synthetic ISO VG 320 lubricant ensures up to 15 000 hours of maintenance free operation at SF1 service factor. The gearbox body is rated IP66 against dust and jets of water, and standard motor adapters/flanges are IP20 (upgradable on request).
