Developed with an optimised housing design and axial fan cooling as standard, these gear units deliver exceptional heat dissipation without external cooling systems. The XT series combines the reliability and strength of NORD’s MAXXDRIVE platform with a focus on thermal performance, making it an ideal solution for conveyor systems and material handling applications in dusty and high-temperature environments. With torque capacities up to 260,000 Nm and power ratings up to 4,000kw, the MAXXDRIVE XT offers powerful, efficient performance with long service life.
Maxxdrive XT Unit Features
The XT series features a robust, thermally-optimised Unicase housing that ensures rigid structure and optimal heat management. Integrated axial fans and an increased surface area enable efficient airflow and natural convection cooling, eliminating the need for external heat exchangers. Bevel-helical gear stages provide high mechanical efficiency, quiet operation, and excellent torque density. The gear units support flexible mounting options and customisable input/output configurations, making them easy to integrate into existing systems. NORD’s modular approach allows seamless combination with motors, couplings, and drive electronics for a complete drive solution.
