The Renold TW Series Heavy Duty Worm Gearboxes are specifically engineered for demanding applications requiring exceptional torque and durability. Available in sizes ranging from 10" to 28" nominal (250 - 710 mm) centre distances, these units support single or double reduction configurations with power capacities up to 1500 kW. Designed for heavy-duty use, the gearboxes feature a robust construction and a variety of mounting options to ensure flexibility in installation. The unique Holroyd tooth form enhances efficiency and extends product life, while optional protective features make these gearboxes suitable for operation in hostile environments.
TW Series Features
Renold TW Series gearboxes deliver high performance and reliability under heavy loads. The phosphor bronze worm wheel, electron beam welded onto a cast iron centre for units up to size 14, ensures superior strength under shock loads. The exclusive Holroyd tooth profile maximises torque capacity and optimises efficiency. With provisions for synthetic lubricants, the gearboxes transmit higher torques in a compact design. Constructed with a two-piece close-grain cast iron casing, they offer exceptional vibration absorption for quiet operation. Additional options include a sprag clutch backstop to prevent drive reversals and enhanced grease-packed labyrinth seals for use in arduous environments. Heavy-duty taper roller bearings further enhance load capacity and extend service life.
